Prevention Starts with US

Child Abuse is preventable when communities take action early. Through education, awareness, and strong partnerships, this campaign equips children, caregivers, and professionals with the tools needed to recognize risk, strengthen protective factors, and keep children safe. By investing in prevention today, we create safer environments and brighter futures for children tomorrow.

WACC Prevention Programs:

  • Teach young children about body safety and empower them to speak up if someone breaks their body safety rule to protect them against sexual abuse.
  • Provide free Pack-n-Plays and Safe Sleep education to vulnerable new mothers to protect their new baby from Shaken Baby and SIDS.
  • Educate children and teens about cyber safety, online predators, and creating a positive digital footprint.

Let’s come together to support Safe Kids, Bright Futures in Washtenaw County!
